Frequently asked questions

Quick answers.

Before you buy

What do I need to run Joinery plugins?

WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.1 or later. Our current plugins extend WooCommerce, so they also need WooCommerce 9.0 or later. Each plugin page lists its own requirements.

Do Joinery plugins work together?

Yes. Every paid plugin builds on the free Joinery Core, so they share one rules engine, one settings screen and one licence. A customer group from B2B & Wholesale, for example, can be used in a Dynamic Pricing rule.

Can I try a plugin before buying?

Joinery Core is free on WordPress.org and includes simple discount rules. For paid plugins we offer a 30-day refund, so you can try one on your own site without risk.

Do you support headless WordPress?

Yes. Prices, discounts and cart rules are applied on the server, so they show up in the WooCommerce Store API and the WordPress REST API. Our developer docs explain the extra endpoints.

Licences and sites

Where do I find my licence key?

In your account under Licences: click Reveal to see the full key, or Copy to copy it. We also email it to you after you buy.

How do I move a licence to another site?

In your account under Sites, click Remove next to the old site. Then enter the key on the new site. Staging, development and local sites don’t count toward your limit.

Can I add more sites later?

Yes. In your account, click Add sites next to the licence. You pay only the difference for the rest of the year.

Billing and refunds

Can I get a VAT invoice?

Yes. Every payment comes with an invoice, emailed to you by Link (Stripe’s checkout, which sells our licences on our behalf) and downloadable from Billing in your account. At checkout, tick I’m purchasing as a business and add your company name and VAT number; EU businesses with a valid VAT number pay no VAT (reverse charge).

How do refunds work?

You can get a full refund within 30 days of buying or renewing, for any reason. Send us a refund request from your account’s Support page. The licence stops getting updates and support once refunded.

How do I stop automatic renewal?

Open Billing in your account and choose Manage billing. Turn off renewal there; your licence keeps working until the end of the year you paid for.

Support

How fast do you reply?

We answer by email on Dutch business days, usually within one business day. All Access and Agency customers get priority.

What does support cover?

Installing, setting up and using our plugins, and fixing bugs in them. It doesn’t cover custom development or problems caused by other plugins, themes or hosting, but we’ll tell you what we find.
