Minimum orders and quote requests

Set a minimum order per tier, and let customers send their cart as a quote request.

Minimum orders

In WooCommerce → Trade accounts → Tiers, edit a tier and fill in Minimum order: a Value (the cart subtotal), a number of Items, or both. Below it, trade customers see how much more to add, and can’t check out until they have.

Quote requests

  1. 1

    Choose who can ask

In WooCommerce → Trade accounts → Settings, under Quote requests, choose trade customers (the default), any signed-in customer, or Off.

  2. 2

    The customer sends their cart

In the cart they open Need a quote instead?, add a note if they like, and click Request a quote. Their cart becomes an order with the status Quote requested, and you get an email. Nothing is charged and no stock is taken.

  3. 3

    Adjust the quote

Open the order in WooCommerce → Orders. You can change prices and quantities, add or remove products, and click Recalculate.

  4. 4

    Send it

Under Order actions, choose Send quote to customer and click Update. The order becomes Pending payment and the customer gets an email with a link to pay. They can also pay from My account → Orders.
